The Embedded Hardware Engineer at Arch Embedded will play a crucial role in designing, testing, and implementing hardware systems for embedded applications. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Development: Design schematics and PCBs for embedded systems, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and design guidelines.
- Testing and Validation: Conduct thorough testing, debugging, and validation of hardware designs to ensure reliability and performance.
- Prototyping: Build and evaluate prototypes to validate functionality, performance, and manufacturability of embedded hardware solutions.
- Component Selection: Select appropriate components based on project requirements, considering factors such as cost, reliability, and availability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with firmware engineers, software developers, and project managers to align on project goals and ensure seamless integration.
- Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation, including design files, technical specifications, and testing reports.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, recommending improvements to enhance the design and functionality of products.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in embedded hardware design, with hands-on experience in PCB design and embedded system architecture.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium Designer, Eagle, or KiCad).
- Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit design.
- Experience with microcontrollers, SoCs, and embedded communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART, CAN).
- Familiarity with EMC/EMI standards and design practices.
Basic programming skills (e.g., C/C++ for embedded applications) are a plus.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic work setting.
